Sorry, they are "bands" not "belts" i was told. I was confused at first because i thought the only type of belt or band i had was the serpantine belt. but what do i know???

not sure about auto trannies...but there must be bands that slip back and forth for shifting....

how bad is it?

i told you guys there was something about bands or belts, i am not crazy!!
its not slippin too bad, and it hasnt gotten progressively worse. but i am taking it in today to have them take another look at it and see if they adjusted something or not. hopefully it wont cost me anything...

actually all you said was belts...

im still not even sure about the bands...but i know there arent belts

Josh, he didn't do any transmission work on your jeep... they just took the tcase out and put a new seal on the transmission and then replaced all the seals on the tcase and probably the main seal where the 2 parts of the case meet in the middle. From what he said was leaking I'm 99% sure they didn't do anything to the transmission other than the out put seal and the cooling lines and maybe a new trans filter and fluid. All you told them about was the leak, not a drivability problem.

Well, it was the K-link line that was off, all the guy did was put it back on and tighten it and it works like a charm!! he didnt charge me anything for it either, all i have to do is next time i come in the shop is bring a 6-pack of beer, i think i could swing that.
