I'm getting a slight hesitation when I step on the gas after cold start. It's almost like a misfire or something. I thought replacing the header would fix that (and it fixed alot of other problems) but it didn't fix this one. Any suggestions? After I drive for maybe 1 minute, the problem seems to disapear and it's only really on acceleration after the jeeps been sitting there a while. It doesn't happen ALL the time, but it happens probably half the time.

could it be some oil leaking around the valve and fouling a spark plug, then getting burned off after its run for a while?

I have the same problem with mine when shifting from first to second when first starting it up. Its a nuisence, but Ive gotten used to it, and it doesnt do it after the initial start.

sounds like the exact same problem as I'm having. I remember reading elsewhere about other people having the issue, but I've never heard a definite problem or solution. Let me know if you come up with anything.

I thought about doing that a while back, but was told that the fuel filter was part of the fuel pump assembly inside the tank. Is this correct? If not, where is the fuel filter on a TJ?

According to AutoZone:
Quote::
UNDER VEHICLE, DRIVER SIDE, BELOW SEATING AREA, REAR OF ENGINE, MOUNTED ON FRAME RAIL IN FUEL LINE
Unfortunately they don't list the part number for it on their website.

Sweet! Is there anything special I have to do? Can't say I've really ever worked with the fuel system before.

You dont want to use regular wrenches on the nuts that hold it on. Use a gas line wrench so you dont strip the treads.

Tony, we've been duped! TJ's don't have an in line fuel filter...

look for some info on the fuel injector cold start valve and see where that is and what thats all about. other wise plan on an afternoon to drop your gas tank and replace 2 strainers on the pump and sending unit. Rolling Eyes
