I wondered how long that was going to take....
Honestly, if you can find somebody to swap with you'd be money/time ahead when it comes to the speedo issue...
The short shaft version is desirable to CJ builders because it helps their driveline angles and they can use that speedo...

i am using a 700r4. The shaft out of the transmission was actaully longer than needed for me, a spacer/clocking ring was required.

Pending me shipping and all that working out. The tranny and tcase are SOLD! I called a couple places in Indy looking for another D300. If anyone has a lead on one that would be great to know. Or wants to sell one. I'm really wanting to get one quick so I can set it up with the new suspension and make sure there aren't any clearance issues.
I also talked with Duffy at D.D.Machine and should be able to have a twin stick setup in about a week or so.
I guess I'm still on the fence about the clocking ring. What would be the big benefit of using one if I were to trim down the input cover on the tcase and use a sealed bearing? How low would the 300 sit if I just flipped it and did it that way?
Matt T I tried following that link you posted up and couldn't get it to load. What price are your rings and how thick are they? I'm thinkin as thin as possible would be great so I can see if I can avoid getting the additional shaft for more spline engagement.

The links seems to be working now:
www.cjoffroad.com/shopping.asp
have you found the PN for the sealed bearing used when trimming the housing? i may go that route with my D300 to NV4500 going into my Scrambler.

I called Down East Offroad which is the only company I have seen so far with the sealed bearing. Talking to one of the guys down there he seemed pretty smart about the products and was nice as well. I asked about the kit and such and according to him the bearing that they use was "specially made for them", but they keep them in stock if I would ever need one. Rough quoted price on it was $40.00
The number is 252-246-9440
I am on the fence about using that kit as a whole due to cost, but I may be ordering a bearing from them to save on a clocking ring and adapter shaft.

the bearing is just a standard sealed bearing...nothing too special.
I think i know someone who has the PN for the bearing. i'll try to dig up and old email and give them a call.

One of the sites had this number posted up as the bearing number
03 06 6209 2RS C3 G93
Looks to me like the 6209 2rs is the bearing. Could be wrong though.
Here is a link:

Tcase is sold, Hopefully going to be picking one up today or tomorrow and then get that in this weekend.
With d.d.machines shifters how do they line up in the jeep? Will have to be concerned with clearance issues from the tranny shifter? I expect to have to notch the floor and the console. Also, how high can they be clocked up and not have clearance issues.
I like the idea of cable shifters and placing them wherever
