"has been mating"? Is it producing offspring yet?

PTO-slip-shaft-sprocket-yoke done. Will try to get pics tonight, posted tomorrow. Next step is the bearing, bracket, #6 cross and #6 yoke to mate with the rear portion of this driveshaft.
..........and for those wondering (Brandt, Abrar...etc.) the square shaft is 1" x 1 1/8" rectangular tubing. Using all #6 crosses and yokes. Sprocket that is tack welded on right now is a #50 (not sure what it means but at least i know ill need a 50 roller chain) but may have to be swapped for something matching the engine.

Cool. I think I just figured out a way to redo my steering slip/ujoint assembly by looking at this, in case it needs it.
Nice to see you advancing from "hey guys what store should i walk into and what should i look for and how much, etc." into knowing what to look for/use, how to put it together, and the lingo (all the yoke reference numbers). This ability will help you when it comes time to do SAS-type stuff and the whole brand/class-of-vehicle-specific stuff goes out the window.

yeah, ive finally realized (especially with my imagination) that its way easier to just MAKE what i have in my head instead of fruitlessly searching stores and the internet for something that will "be good enough". Im definately beginning to love raw materials.

Just curious what you did to center those square shafts on the yoke/sproket? If you didn't... well it'll be interesting to say the least.

for the sprocket i put it in the press at the house and mashed it through (somehow it was a perfect fit) onto the flat chunk that comes with the press (you know that funny lookin chunk that your supposed to use to help you press on stuff). and for the yokes, they are matching dimension (to the tube) inputs to i just slid in about 3/4 to 1" of tube to get it trued up and tacked it in before welding. Now, is it completley balanced....probably not, but i dont have a lathe (or any of the other equipment to balance a shaft)

I have access to the lathe in the ME machine shop, but no clue (or very little) about how to use it, as well as no idea how to set it up with a sprocket on the end.
